Update regarding Covid-19 and restarting club Motorsport.

Following the updates which have been shared by MsUK, the management team have had a series of discussions around what that means for us at Scottish Sporting Car Club.

We have reviewed the recommendations and requirements passed down to us from both the Government (UK and Scottish) and Motorsport UK and whilst it can be concluded that club motorsport is possible in the very near future, it is the stance of the team that running events may not be possible. Running under such tight restrictions takes away everything we love about our events, namely the social aspects and the catering! This combined with likely difficulties in resourcing events (due to potential illness and officials falling into vulnerable categories) makes running an event incredibly hard.

With these points in mind, we are predicting that SSCC events will not resume prior to September this year (please do not take this as a promise that we will recommence at exactly this time). We will, of course, be reviewing the position constantly and will adjust our stance accordingly.

Thank you all for your continued patience this year and the club management team hopes that all of our members, friends and their family are keeping well in these tough times.
