1. SSCC Roberson Trophy Autosolo/Autotest/PCA 1: Results
Thank you to all who entered last Saturday’s event at Ardeer and contributed to a very successful start to Scottish Sporting’s 2020 competition season. We’re sure you all enjoyed the day and, as ever with these events, very many thanks indeed to Jim Crossan and Irvine Bay Events for the use of the Ardeer site.
The results are now attached and our congratulations to the individual event winners:
Autosolo: Ross McKinnon
Autotest: Stewart Rae
Senior Production Car Autotest: Euan Beck
Junior Production Car Autotest: Erica Winning
First Beginner: Gabriel Carpenter
As usual, if there are any queries or explanation required as to how the results are calculated please don’t hesitate to contact me (but first see the footnote at the bottom of the document for an explanation of the various colours/symbols used). Basically, the results are given in terms of the number of seconds (and fraction) taken to complete a test, and penalties (hitting a pylon, going over the baulk line) are calculated at 5 seconds per pylon/line. Times and penalties shown on a yellow background in the table have been dropped from the calculation (we discount the slowest time from each group of tests).
2. Forthcoming Events
The next event in SSCC’s competition calendar was supposed to be Robertson Trophy Autosolo 2, at Ardeer on Saturday 25 April. However with Covid19 on the rampage our 2020 programme necessarily has been suspended for the time being, while we wait and see how matters develop. Please keep an eye on the Club’s Facebook page and website for any updates and we will, of course, email Regulations to everyone on the Club’s Autotest circulation list immediately our competition programme resumes (hopefully in the not-too-distant future).
