Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique – Wednesday 29th January 2020

This year’s Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique will start from George Square, Glasgow. I have had good support from the Club but could do with a few more marshals. I will be looking for assistance from 11:30 until 21:00.

The first part of the day will be getting the competitors into George Square and getting them parked. Its important we have marshals at the pedestrian crossing points to control these points when competitors have to transverse them. That should be between 12:00 and 17:00.

From 17:00 to 18:30 will be more relaxed. Spectators will be allowed to take a close look at the cars and chat to the competitors. At 18:30 all the spectators will be cleared from the holding area.

The second part will be lining up the cars for the 19:00 start. Again we need to control the pedestrian crossing points and ensure all the competitors line up in their correct starting order. The last car should be away by 20:00. After a quick tidy up we can all go home.

If you can assist for all or part of the day, please get in touch.

Please note, there is no parking around George Square for officials and marshals so if you can help please come by public transport.

Cheers Alistair
