Scottish Marshals News – Mid-March 2019

If anyone is going along to help at any of these events,

It would be helpful if they let Alistair Reid know (Alistair.sscc).

DCC Stages Ingliston 30th March and DCC Junior 1000 Stages 31st March

From Keith Cowan

Now the fog has lifted from the 1st round of the Scottish Tarmack Rally Championship, the Grant Construction Knockhill Stages, we move the rallying from Fife, to just across the water, to Lothian, to the only rally to take place in Edinburgh, the DCC Stages and the DCC Junior Stages.

Saturday the 30th and Sunday the 31st of March.

The event as ever, will take place at the Royal Highland Showground at Ingliston in Edinburgh.

The DCC Stages on Saturday the 30th of March, will have 8 Stages with the 1st car starting at 09:00

The DCC Junior Stages on Sunday the 31st of March, will have 8 stages with the 1st car starting at 09:30.

Marshals are needed as ever, for both days. If you can manage two days, that would be fantastic, but if you can only manage one day, whether its Saturday on Sunday, then equally as well, that would be great.

All Marshals will get goody bags, lunch and a wee memento gift on the day.

Marshals of all disciplines are needed, and if you have never marshalled before, or know of someone who would like to come along, then please do so, you will be buddied up with an experienced Marshal for the day.

Also if you are available on the Thursday or Friday to assist Gus Duncan with set up, your assistance would be invaluable.

All you have to do, is register below, using the various links, If you are volunteering to assist with set up, please can you complete both Marshal and Set Up Forms.

Memorial Garden Stages Rally 13th April

From the Chief Marshal Stewart Paton

Once again I am taking on the role of Chief Marshal for The Memorial Garden Stages Rally at RM Condor near Arbroath on April 13th.

For the event to run safely we need a full team of marshals of every discipline (Timing, In Stage, passage control, service in/out, Radio, Etc.). If you can help in any way please complete the online Marshals Registration form on the SAMSC website as soon as possible. (Please don’t wait till the last minute 😊 )

The Memorial Garden Stages Rally is a counter in the J1000 Eccosse Challenge and the Scottish Tarmack Rally Championship Supported by the Cobble Shop. This means there will be everything from the 1000cc Junior cars right up to 2500cc Millington Powered DEN Motorsport prepared Escorts, Subaru’s, Etc. So I think we can guarantee a great day’s motorsport.

The radio controller for the event is Diana Baines, please register with her by using the the Radio Registration form on the SAMSC web site

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me directly either by email or by phone on the number below.
