Marshals’ Call!

Scottish Border Hill Rally – Forrest Estate, St Johns Town of Dalry – 17 & 18 November 2018

Next weekend we will be running the service area at the Scottish Border Hill Rally. We have 3 controls to man and these will be visited by competitors 4 times on Saturday and twice on Sunday.

On both days signing on is from 07:30 with a marshals briefing at 08:00. The first car starts at 10:00. Saturday will run into darkness and is due to finish about 18:30 whilst Sunday is due to finish at 15:00. I need assistance on both days. If you can help on one or both days, please let me know. Your help will be much appreciated.

Winter AutoSolo/AutoTest/PCA 2 – Ardeer – 24 November 2018

This is our last autotest of the year and again I need a few marshals to assist me. Signing on is from 10:00 with the first run at 11:00. We aim to be finished by 15:30. As usual lunch will be provided.

Motorsport News Circuit Rally – Knockhill – 9 December 2018

Following the success of the inaugural Motorsport News Circuit Rally Championship at Knockhill in 2017, Knockhill Racing Circuit will again be hosting round 3 of this very popular Championship on Sunday 9th December. The event will be using the off-circuit sections around the car parks, and on the hill opposite the service area, as well as the circuit. The first car is due to start at 09:00, with competitors starting at 30 second intervals. There will be 10 stages, giving some 39 miles of action with the last two stages in the dark.

The maximum entry is 60, the minimum – already attained – is 45, but there are still spaces available for this event. The Supplementary Regulations are attached and the link for the online entry system is available on . Information on the venue and event can also be found on

This event is open to non-Championship registered contenders, but we also look forward to giving a great Scottish welcome to Championship contenders. Information on the Championship can be found on

For those not able to compete, but still wanting to be involved, marshaling and assisting with set-up is a great way to be part of the event. The final round of the Cobble Shop Scottish Tarmack Rally Championship, is fast approaching this weekend, and is always an exciting climax to this great Scottish Championship. The Kingdom Stages, being organised by Glenrothes Motor Sport Club is being held this year at Leuchars on Saturday, 10th November. To close the Championship Season the Cobble Shop Scottish Tarmack Rally Championship Awards evening will take place at the Grange Manor, Falkirk on 26th January 2019. Information will soon be available but to pre-book please contact the Championship co-ordinator Gerry McCafferty strc
