Subject: Gey Foxy Rally Marshals

Hello Alistair

I am writing to you as Chief Marshal for Scottish Sporting Car Club.

As you may know the Caledonian Classic and Historic Motor Sport Club is
running the Gey Foxy Rally on Sunday 4th November. It is for Historic
and Targa cars.

The rally starts at 9.30 am from Lanark Auction Mart with cars running
at 1 minute intervals. There are 7 tests and 3 regularity sections in a
compact route of 80 miles, largely south of Lanark.

We need around 30+ marshals for the tests and regularities, even
assuming some ‘doubling up’. The route includes two tests at Lanark
Auction Mart (1 and 7) and three at Kames (3, 4 and 5). The other tests
are near Strathaven and Glespin.

It would be nice, although unlikely, to get somewhere near a full entry
of 40 cars for the event. A full entry would see the last car complete
the course before 4.30 pm at maximum lateness.

Would the Scottish Sporting Car Club be able to provide some marshals
for the rally? All marshals will be issued with meal tickets for the
finish hotel at Symington.

You can contact me by e-mail or using the numbers below or Jim Paterson
at jim.paterson

Thank you in anticipation,

John Stuart
