September Marshals’ Call

September is a busy time for events. We are always desperate for marshals so if you can assist with even one of them, please get in touch with the relevant organiser. If you have never marshalled before then this is a great time to start. No previous marshalling experience is required as you will always be buddied up with an experienced marshal

I certainly hope to see some of you at an event soon.

September 1st – Bo’ness Saltire Trophy and Road Tour

Marshals are needed for the Bo’ness Saltire Trophy, not particularly for the Tour. We need them to be at the Bo’ness and Kinneil Railway Station between 8 and 8.30 to sign on. The route runs through West Lothian and South Lanarkshire to the Tweed Valley with a lunch halt in the Innerleithen area. We need people for either time controls or to run simple autotests. We have a pretty wide range of cars including a 1930s Bugatti, a C-type Jag and a load of more modern stuff.

If anyone is interested they should contact either me on saltiresecretary Mob 0770 435 7703

or the Chief Marshal, Dave Mclean, on h12dvy Mob: 07920 454393

Many thanks for your support,

Graham Couser

September 1st and 2nd – Bo’ness Hill Climb Revival

This year’s event will take place on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd September. As is always the case the event can’t run without the help of marshals and if you can help your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Each day will be an individual event with 2 practise runs and 2 timed runs. Sign on will be at 7:45 , at hill control in the main paddock, with a briefing at 8:00 and then on post for a 8:30 start. All things going well each day will finish sometime around 5. Marshalling numbers permitting I will try to ensure that we change posts over the 2 days, so hopefully everyone will see the sun (or get less shelter from the rain) over the 2 days. Marshals will be provided with vouchers for a burger at lunchtime.

The confirmed entries have reached the maximum capacity of 120; the entries and final regulations can be viewed via the following link

If you wish to marshal one or both of the days please let me know by replying to graeme.king3

I hope to see you in September.
